The 10 most beautiful beaches near Pula: South Sardinia

Not far from Pula and from Lantana Resort & Apartments there are amazing stretches of sea where you can discover some of the most beautiful beaches of Southern Sardinia.

Some of them are accessible by bike, by bus or by public transport; for others instead we recommends using a car.

Between dunes and nature reserves, cliffs inhabited by colorful marine flora and fauna, beautiful bays, golden sands granite rocks and Caribbean waters, on this side of the Sardinian coast is spoiled for choice.

Families with children we reccomend the Giudeu beach (18 km South of Pula), well served together with that of Porto Campana or SA Colonia and all the famous beaches of the district Chia Bay (in Domus de Maria); this coast has recently earned 5 sails of Legambiente and the title of the best beach according to the Blue Guide 2016 Italian Touring Club. Near Cape Teulada you can enjoy this long coastline of white sand, protected by altedune rich in Mediterranean vegetation. From Giudeu just 150 meters from the shore you can reach the island of the same name.

The nearby beach of Cala Cipolla is more sheltered and recommended for windy days, surrounded by pink granite rocks and Mediterranean vegetation.

Then the extraordinary Teulada, about 24 km from Pula there is the paradise of Tuerredda beach, nestled in a bay between Cape Spartivento and Cape Malfatano, brushed by a protected sea mirror, facing a green island within swimming distance.

Those who love long, spacious beaches, dunes and fine sand as far as the eye, where you can walk for kilometers on the shore, cannot give up even in Porto Giunco, another magnificent beach not to be missed, which is located north of Pula to Villasimius (84 km): here the long beach of white sand is protected towards the inside by a Mediterranean forest and the spectacular Notteri pond, populated by pink flamingos.

One of the most interesting points of this coast for scuba diving and surfing is the Sinnai Solanas beach, 71 km from Pula. A delight to discover in and out of the clear water, often ruffled by winds and sea breezes.

To those who want to stay close to Pula we reccomed the Nora beach, near the archaeological ruins (A shuttle service is available at the request of Lantana Resort during the high season), or the Guventeddu beach or the Figs beach.

The 200 km of magnificent and varied coastline, made of sand, dunes and granite rock lapped by turquoise and emerald waters, make South Sardinia one of the favorite sea destinations for beach holidays for families with children, couples and sport lovers of nautical activities.
